Beyond Internal Product Innovation Innovating (Digital) Services and Building External Ecosystems

ABSTRACT

When moving beyond product innovation to embracing services (e.g. as a part of a digital value proposition) there is a need to find the right way to organize for it and there is typically a need to engage other players within a broader external ecosystem. The workshop will explore servitization (e.g. from leveraging digital technologies), including how to select the right servitization strategy, organize appropriately, and set up or join an effective ecosystem for delivering the value proposition.

Breakthrough Innovation & Lean Startup From Foresighting & Exploration to Market Experiments and Scale-Up

ABSTRACT

The process of breakthrough innovation is different from that for incremental projects. The early stage of radical innovation is driven more by foresight and exploration and the subsequent incubation phase requires more learning through iteration and experimentation in the market in a Lean Startup manner. And when it is time to scale and execute it may still not fit within the existing operating units. The workshop will look closer at the process and how to organize for it (e.g. with an internal incubator).

The Startup Community Collaborating with Startups and Building Startup Accelerators for Disruptive and Digital Innovation

ABSTRACT

The number of startup incubators and accelerators set up by large firms has been growing over the past years. They constitute an opportunity to leverage the innovativeness of nimble players. Digital transformation is one of the reasons large firms seek to tap into the startup ecosystem. The workshop takes place at Arena2036, where Daimler has its Startup Autobahn accelerator for collaborating with startups – a part of a larger regional initiative to attract startups and set up corporate-startup collaborations.

Please check again 2-3 months before the event for the workshop agenda.

Megatrends & Digital Transformation Connectivity, Big Data, Robotics, Augmented Reality, 3D Printing, UAVs, ...

ABSTRACT

The workshop focuses on digital transformation and on related megatrends that are likely to have an impact on business and society. It will also be discussed how such megatrends can be translated into innovation and action. The workshop takes place at BP’s modern learning center next to Heathrow Airport.

Please check again 2-3 months before the event for the workshop agenda.
