Thomas Ogilvie has held a number of management positions over more than fifteen years with Deutsche Post DHL Group. He joined the company in December 2001 with the Market Research Service Center (MRSC) at Deutsche Post Consult GmbH. He then went on to hold a number of product and business development roles within the Post & Parcel division, taking over the newly created role of Senior Vice President for Private Customers and Online Strategy, DHL Parcel Germany, in 2011. In January 2016, he was appointed Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, Deutsche Post DHL Group.

Prior to joining SAP in 2005, Schmeichel worked as a Strategy Consultant advising clients on how to improve organizational performance and effectiveness. He is considered an expert on the topic of future of work as well as global HR transformation programs in the era of digitalization.

Mr. Philip has a strong background in energy. Ernesto Ciorra became the Enel Group’s Chief Innovability (Innovation and Sustainability) Officer in September 2014. He began his career as an Associate with the consultancy firm Busacca & Associati, supporting leading Italian and foreign telecoms companies in a number of innovative projects. In 2003, he founded Ars et Inventio, a consultancy specialising in innovation and creativity, which he headed until taking up his current position. Ars et Inventio has worked with leading companies in Italy and abroad on the conception and launch of innovations that have gone on to achieve worldwide success.
Ernesto Ciorra has lectured in Innovation Management in Italian and Spanish Universities and Business Schools. He was Scientific Coordinator for the Master’s in Innovation Management at the Il Sole24Ore Business School and is a member of the advisory board for the Master’s in Strategic Innovation at Venice’s Ca' Foscari University. He is director of the Advanced Innovation Management Programme at the Istituto de Empresa in Madrid. He is also the author of three collections of poetry and a play that has been staged in several Italian theatres.

Enel has combined Innovation and Sustainability in a model called “Innovability®”, based on the fundamental concept that in order to be sustainable it is necessary to constantly innovate and, at the same time, every innovation pursued must be sustainable.
To innovate, Enel has adopted an “open” approach that leverages an ecosystem of customers, employees, suppliers, startups, companies, international organizations, universities and NGOs. To engage the various players, Enel has created some tools, such as “”openinnovability.com””, a crowdsourcing platform to collect solutions and a network of Innovation Hubs, to get in touch with startups and other stakeholders present in the most important innovation ecosystems of the world. The Group has collected over 25000 proposals and activated over 1200 projects of which about half have been successfully advanced and over 300 have met the requirements to be implemented on a large scale.
Susan Lyon will talk about the role of HR in innovation and transformation. She will kick-start her presentation with lessons learned from her previous role as a business manager and how she translates that experience to her HR role to grow the business faster and further. Jayshree Seth is a Corporate Scientist at 3M and currently holds 76 patents for a variety of innovations, with several additional pending. She joined 3M in 1993 after an MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, New York. She is a Distinguished Alumni Award recipient from her alma mater REC Trichy India, now NIIT Trichy, where she earned a B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering.
Jayshree was appointed 3M’s first ever Chief Science Advocate in 2018 and is using her scientific knowledge, technical expertise and professional experience to advance science and communicate the benefits of science and the importance of diversity in STEM fields. She is also a member of Carlton Society which is the 3M Science and Engineering “Hall of Fame.” Jayshree is the fourth woman and first female engineer to be inducted. In 2020, she was awarded Society of Women Engineers (SWE) highest Achievement Award. She is also the first-ever winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the new Female Thought Leaders of the Year – category in the 18th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business in 2021. Jayshree was featured in a docuseries titled Not the Science Type that premiered during the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and accepted for Brand Storytelling Showcase, a sanctioned event at Sundance Film Festival. She is the author of the books, The Heart of Science – Engineering Footprints, Fingerprints, & Imprints, and The Heart of Science – Engineering Fine Print published by the Society of Women Engineers, and all sales proceeds go to a scholarship for underrepresented minority women in STEM. She is a sought-after speaker, globally, on a multitude of topics such as innovation, leadership and STEM advocacy, and has featured in local, national and international media.

Björn Theis is Head of Foresight at Creavis, the strategic innovation unit and business incubator of Evonik AG. He holds a master's degree in cultural anthropology, philosophy, and English from the University of Cologne. Björn Theis teaches futures research at various universities, is the founder of the Conjectural Futures Network, and is a member of the Future Circle of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Currently he works on the foresight project "Sustainable Food Futures 2040", which investigates how to enable healthy and sustainable nutrition for the world's population of tomorrow.

Björn Theis is Head of Foresight at Creavis, the strategic innovation unit and business incubator of Evonik AG. He holds a master's degree in cultural anthropology, philosophy, and English from the University of Cologne. Björn Theis teaches futures research at various universities, is the founder of the Conjectural Futures Network, and is a member of the Future Circle of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Currently he works on the foresight project "Sustainable Food Futures 2040", which investigates how to enable healthy and sustainable nutrition for the world's population of tomorrow.
