BIOGRAPHY

Hermann Bach is SVP, Head of Innovation Management & Commercial Services at Covestro, a leading supplier of high-tech polymer materials formerly known as Bayer MaterialScience. A curious, creative, and result oriented leader with experiences in general management, business leadership, innovation, venturing, and strategic marketing, Hermann and his team help Covestro to drive innovation everywhere in the company. His particular focus lies on business model innovation and digitalization. Previously he held positions in R&D, new business development, strategic planning, sales, strategic marketing and general management at Bayer MaterialScience. Hermann holds a MS in chemistry from Marburg University, a PhD in physical chemistry from ETH Zürich and has completed several executive education programs at leading business schools. Born in Germany, he has gained international experience in the UK, in Switzerland and in the US.
